My first quarter scale lights.
The centre light is low over the dining table. The ceiling rose is a reversed sequin (painted white).
This is a recessed light over the sink unit. It is a 1/8th inch eyelet. I have 99 left!! How many can I get in one bathroom Looks like I will need two batteries. You can attach ten bulbs per battery I am told.
The third light in the room didn't need anything fancy as it is hidden behind the access to the chimney cover over the Aga. That said I did have to thread a bead behind it to help it locate in the space. these nano chips are so small. As you can see they fit comfortably inside something like a 1/16th inch space.
I've been putting off using nano lights, or any lighting for that matter, in my 1/4" scale buildings. Can you describe what you did in more detail?
ReplyDeleteLove getting The Gate House!
Many thanks Thelma. Give me a couple of days... We spend the winter in Florida and have literally just arrived so I need to gather my wits and get the place organised. My project is in the UK so I won't be able to photograph or demo it but I am sure I can explain it easily enough. I have scheduled a couple of posts so they don't dry up. Take a look at my other quarter scale project too if you are just idea hunting. Speak soon.
DeleteIn hopes that the blog notifies you if I speak to you here????? I did a post on how I did the lighting. Marilyn
DeleteWow well done, I can't even imagine how difficult it is to light a quarter scale dolls house.
ReplyDeleteNo, honestly, everything is just a little bit more fiddly not enough to put you off. I had no idea I was actually going to like this scale - just seemed a poor apology for the real but it brings a different set of challenges and that makes it really interesting. I commend it to you when you run out of space! Marilyn
